  1. There’s a lot of talent but MLS academies only get players who’s family can pay for their kids to play. I remember Zlatan mentioning how problematic that is for the development of soccer in the USA.

  2. Europe will start respecting MLS when they will have a proper league system where you don't buy your way into the league, get rewarded with promotion and cups for being good and punished with relegation for being bad. Basically be like European leagues and you will get respect and will find that your national team will become stronger.

  3. Brian doesn’t understand that this is something the league should have expected from a personality such as Zlatan coming from Europe with gas still in the tank and a bucket full of arrogance. Mls needs to grow some thick skin

  4. I pressed the option for youtube to not show me mls content after ibra left😅.I'm only here after wanting to see some of ibra mls goals..and this popped up and I remembered how it made me laugh so I'm here again to have a laugh again🤣

  5. I don’t even know how to explain the differences between MLS and the rest of the world football.

I have gone to MLS matches and it’s almost like the early days of the internet where one would get the most random ad pop ups of something trying to sell you something. That was the experience at every football/soccer match in the USA for me. From the entrance of the match, during the match and after the match, someone trying to sell you something in person or the announcer. I am not talking about food/drinks. I ain’t gonna lie, I enjoyed drinking the beer and just hanging out.

In Europe and Latin America, 100% watching the match only. Everyone is focused on the match and their team.

However, in some countries, while you can literally feel the passion and energy, it can be unsafe to go to some of these matches especially in a rivalry match. You will not see that in the USA and at least for me, it’s a good thing.

  6. This is the first time I've ever seen this. I loved McBride but he comes of really soft and petulant here. MLS IS an embarrassment because of the system is closed, the league owns all the teams, and the quality is still well below the top European leagues. MLS will obliterate USL if it ever gets any legs, and tell me how that helps the game here? Also we have no real pyramid and all the best US players dont even play here. MLS continues to lag in the ratings as well. Do you watch NBA or division 3 college basketball? People want to see the best. If they want to get better, do the game like the rest of the world does it and compete.

  7. No disrespect to MLS, but i never watch the mls, I only watched the MLS after zlatan joined. Europeans dont watch the mls in general.

  8. lmao im just here looking at things ibra is doing at milan and this popped up…lol mcbride we already think low of mls..we dont need zlatan to tell us lol your wives friends just wanted to check one of the spices girls goodlooking hubby.

  9. I only know about MLS because of Zlatan and David Beckham. Literally the MSL has become a retirement league for European players. Despite obvious criticism of the American approach to football, no significant changes has been made. The US will never produce star teams or compete at the level as the rest of the world with how they're doing things in their very American way. You didn't even qualify for the World cup 2018 and lost towards Trinidad. You can't compete and what Zlatan said was just about right.

  10. Hey ESPN! This comment proves what Zlatan said… I wont be watching effin MLS if I wasn’t searching for Zlatan on youtube… and this video was posted 8mos ago… there isn’t anything exciting in MLS at all… deal with it!

  11. The MLS is trash, Zlatan called it for what it is. A one year club N.M. United is beating MLS teams. The MLS is lucky to have the Zlatan

  12. I will only watch Mls to see international players, For the most part he is right. FYI just because the league is expanding doesn't make it better

  13. To fair, nobody who really likes football (AKA Soccer) has ever watched a full MLS game. The quality of MLS is just terrible.

  14. 8:11 or Zlatan ibrahimovic to Real Madrid Football club. football and soccer club of Madrid.
but at Zlatan loss. so Zlatan ask them, 'how much should I get paid now so that I can retire more comfortably? '

  15. Brian Mc Bride go and manage fulham or tottenham and try to have them win a n english premier league cup. contact them and send in your curriculum vitae. or a resume in accordance with your curriculum vitae
