Tottenham are close to signing highly rated Croatian central defender Luka Vuskovic from Hajduk Split, according to reports.
The 16-year-old made eight appearances in the Croatian top flight last season and was continued by teams across Europe.
Vuskovic helped Hajduk win the Croatian Cup and became the club’s youngest goalscorer after finding the net just days after his 16th birthday.
Fabrizio Romano reported that the defender had agreed to move to north London on Sunday.
He posted on X (formerly Twitter): “Tottenham are close to signing top Croatian talent Luka Vusković.

Vuskovic broke into Hajduk’s first team last season and also captained the U19 team to the UEFA Youth League final.

Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle had already expressed interest in Vuskovic, but it appears Ange Postecoglou’s side have won the race for his signature.
Manchester City also wanted to sign the defenderwho captained the Hajduk U19 team to the UEFA Youth League final last season, alongside his first-team commitments.
It is not yet clear when he will officially join Spurs, but he is expected to be the next exciting addition to Postecoglou’s new defense in north London.
