BECOMING a successful actor has come at a cost for Ashley Walters – who is paying the price for not always being there for her children.

The Top Boy star has been busting his guts on the Netflix series for years and has spent more time with the cast than with his own family, admitting he hasn’t paid enough attention.

Dad-of-eight Ashley explained: “It didn’t go down very well with all my kids, I didn’t really care. I didn’t want the adult responsibilities that came with it.

“For a long time I wasn’t there the way I should be and I’m paying a bit of a price for that now.”

by Ashley his career has flourished since he started working on the crime drama over a decade ago and it has helped him support his family.

The So Solid Crew rapper said: “To get that stability in acting, you have to go do a soap opera.

“You don’t really understand the drama, so it was good for the family and for me to just focus on being an artist rather than worrying about mortgages.”

Ashley admitted he was now worried about his children following in his footsteps, adding: “I would be worried, it’s a tough industry to break into and a tough life, but I will support them all the way.”

The 21 Seconds hitmaker struggled growing up with his own father, who died of lung cancer after being absent for years.

Ashley said on The Diary Of A CEO podcast: “I wish he could see me now, who I’ve become and what I’ve achieved.”

Steve is ready for a life of crime

IF like me you like British films, actor Steve Wraith’s new film might just suit you.

He took on the role of Stephen Sayers for a film about life in one of the country’s most notorious crime families.

Sayers carried out some of the UK’s most notorious heists in the 1980s and 1990s.

The film, titled A New Breed Of Criminal, will follow his life from his early childhood to his peak in crime.

EastEnders Actor Nicholas Ball also stars in the film, alongside Eddie Webber from The Business and Lesley Saint-John, who was in the second series of Auf Wiedersehen, Pet.

Cardi let her hair down after putting the finishing touches on her new album, her first since 2018’s Invasion Of Privacy.

Cardi said yesterday of the record: “It’s coming out next year.

“For fans who are wondering, ‘Are you serious?’ This year is almost over guys. Relax.”

Once the record is released, the singer also wants to return to acting after appearing in Hustlers and Assisted Living.

She told the Spout podcast: “Yeah, but I have to make my album. »

The Stones track goes on and on

THE ROLLING STONES will release one of their longest tracks in the coming weeks.

According to insiders, the group, made up of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards And Ronnie Woodwill be released Sweet Sounds Of Heaven, which will last seven minutes and 22 seconds.

It is the second single from Hackney Diamondswhich they hope will become their 14th No. 1 album when it’s released on October 20.

The song, which also features Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder, will be even longer than Queen’s 1975 hit Bohemian Rhapsody, which lasted five minutes and 55 seconds.

But it’s nowhere near the Stones’ 1966 song Goin’ Home, as it lasts 11 minutes and 35 seconds.

As far as I’m concerned, the more Stones music I hear, the better.

Daisy’s practical role
