A police investigation is ongoing after an incident outside a nightclub in which Newcastle club captain Jamaal Lascelles and his group were allegedly attacked. Reports say the player’s 19-year-old brother was elbowed in the head and another member of the group passed out during what Northumbria Police said was a ‘disorder’ at around 4am morning on Sunday August 20 in Newcastle city centre.
Newcastle had lost 1-0 away to Manchester City the day before and Lascelles would be out that night in Newcastle.
