Eddie Howe has made five changes to his starting XI for Newcastle United’s Premier League clash with Brentford (5:30 p.m. BST kick-off).
Sven Botman, Sean Longstaff, Callum Wilson, Harvey Barnes and Elliot Anderson enters, replacing Matt Targett, Sandro Tonali, Joelinton, Miguel Almiron And Alexandre Isak.
Botman missed the defeat to Brighton through injury while Wilson scored after coming off the bench at the Amex Stadium and signed a one-year contract extension with the club this week.
Tonali missed Italy’s win over Ukraine on Tuesday due to injury, although he was on United’s bench against the Bees. Joelinton represented Brazil during the international break and has played in all of the Magpies’ matches so far this season, but is missing due to injury.
Nick Pape starts in goal while Kieran Trippier is at right back and is captain of the team. Dan Burn returns to left back as Botman resumes his central defensive partnership with Fabian Schär.
Longstaff and Anderson join Bruno Guimarães in midfield while Barnes and Anthony Gordon will support senior forward Wilson.
The replacements are Almirón, Isak, Targett, Tonali, Jamaal Lascelles, Tino BookLewis Hall and Jacob Murphywith Martin Dubravka the substitute goalkeeper.
