27. The defenders and goalie KNOW Rashford is offside (by 2-3 yards) and the whistle will be blown if he touches it. Their focus should ONLY be on Fernandez. Defending 101. Akaji slows down when the ball is near Rashford thinking Rashford will be blown for offside, but why slow down? He should be busting a gut to cover Fernandez and telling the other defender and goalie to focus on Fernandez. The goalie has eyes for Rashford but again should be focused on Fernandez who is the only onside player. They have themselves to blame.

33. The goalie came out to block Rashford because he seemed to be in a 1 on 1 position. He also runs for the ball, if he stayed still it might not be offside but this way it is clearly a huge error.

    Good on Man U for stepping up and showing who is the boss of Manchester.. best derby in a long while! The goal by Fernandez was not offside as rashford was not interfering and so good goal we take it…and the 3 points!

40. To me even though Rashford didn't touch the ball but he interfered with the play by staying with the ball and didn't allow Akanji to get to the ball. So the goal should have been disallowed and that's what City players were talking to the referee after the end of the game.
