7. Calm down,people! Messi is my goat too, but let´s be realistic. There´s still 9 to 10 months STILL LEFT to THIS calendar year 2023. Everything can happen, in a good way or the bad. First of all Messi and his team got dropped out of 2022/ 23 French Cup, so no trophy from there. Second and important thing is that if Psg looses to munich next week in Champion´s league 2022/ 23, no trophy there either. Then Messi´s chances are getting very thin. IF messi this calendar year 2023 wins " ONLY" the french Ligue1 trophy, that´s not enough. He´s not scoring +30 goals per season anymore, in fact he´s far from it. A lot of if´s and maybe´s but it´s seen before that usually the winner is a player who scores A LOAT ( like haaland and Mbabbe ) of goals the whole year and possible is in a team which wins like the champions league , and both domestics cup´s like super cup and championchip´s cup. Messi is every year the most gifted, talented and fascinating player in earth but it is what it is, i think the winner might be Haaland or Mbabbe. I LOVE MESSI BUT I WOULD BE VERY SUPRISED IF THEY GIVE HIM THE 8TH BALON D OR.
