8. Barcelona are great still, but they are not as outstanding as they were. Last year they won all six group stage matches, with a total goal difference of 24-1. Their performance against lesser teams are still perfectly solid, but the games against Bayern shows that the other top teams are catching up. The favourites this year, if we're looking at results in the CL only, may be the English teams – particularly Chelsea. Both they and Arsenal have been in groups with two other top teams, and still they've prevailed in style.

15. While Barca's football is a pleasure to look at, especially when they encounter little resistance from the opposition as in this case, the subject of this comment will be Rosengard. How a team that has just comfortably won the national title in Sweden which ranks pretty high in FIFA standings (used to be #2 and could still be) can experience such a complete meltdown in the Champions League is rather hard to comprehend. My only explanation is they could have been more tired than the other teams as the season in their country runs through the summer unlike in most other European leagues
