A former CITV presenter shared the naughty details of what happened in her dressing room while she was working on the children’s channel.

From 1998 to 2001, Danielle Nicholls was a presenter on CITV, beginning her career when she was just 19 and working alongside Stephen Mulhern And Holly Willoughby.

While there, she also interviewed the likes of Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Victoria Beckham.

However, the now 44-year-old revealed that during her time on the show she was a little “cheeky” behind the scenes.

Recalling her raunchiest behind-the-scenes memories while reflecting on her time on the show, Danielle didn’t hold back.

“I remember when I was only 19 and on CITV I kissed a pop star in the dressing room,” she revealed.

“It was pretty cheeky, but I did even more than that with a footballer.

“The good news is that I ended up marrying him, so it was fine! she added while talking to The star of the day.

Danielle married former Charlton Athletic footballer and manager Dean Holden in June 2006.

Discussing ITV’s decision to close CITV next month, Danielle expressed her disappointment and said it would affect the opportunities available to aspiring presenters, as well as the ability to discover new talent.

“It’s really sad that they’re cutting children’s television.

“There are all these very famous presenters who have come out of it, Ant and Dec, Cat Deeley, Andi Peters.

“I think it will have an impact on television in general. Kids TV is where you learn your craft, it’s where you learn the craft and you have a natural progression.

Prior to its launch as an exclusive channel in 2006, CITV was previously used to broadcast afternoon shows aimed at children and was first launched in 1983.

While originally hosting iconic shows such as Jungle Run, The Worst Witch and Art Attack, ITV has now moved all of its children’s streaming platforms to ITVX Kids, which launched last month.

To explain the move, ITV bosses said the average number of minutes of children’s TV broadcasts watched by young people aged four to 15 per week had fallen by 62 per cent since 2019, while the figures viewership of streaming services had increased by 30 percent. in the same period.

While the platform will feature both brand new shows, as well as old favorites like Bob the Builder and Mr Bean, ITV will continue to feature the preschool segment LittleBe and offer early morning children’s content on ITV2 from September. .

Although there were some interesting scenes played out away from the cameras, Danielle previously claimed she was forced to wear a minimizer bra after viewers complained about her breasts on CITV.

Earlier this year, she spoke about complaints filedsaying that even though she “only had a D cup, I was a size 8, so that was a problem” and that she had to wear the bra because at the time it wasn’t “not at all inclined to have a big chest”. .

After CITV, Danielle starred in TV programs such as Diggit, Night Fiver and The Unprofessionals.
