1. I’m a critical care nurse and let me provide a dose of reality here: When you’re old and in failing health, need support and help or are sick in the hospital? Most likely, your kids are NOT going to be there in any significant capacity. Best case scenario, they’ll visit – maybe even every day – and make sure the hospital or nursing home staff aren’t mistreating you, but they won’t be around as much as you might really want or need. They sure as hell aren’t going to be cleaning up your BMs and ensuring you’re turned q2h. Worst case scenario, they’ll teach/PEG you, dump you in a facility to slowly rot away from bed sores, then go back to their lives/families until you eventually, finally, die. Having children doesn’t guarantee ANYTHING in your later years.

4. Kids aren't little forever. You can still have a lot of fun with the kiddos. Our kids are 10 and 13 (next month) and they are awesome! Yes, we do sleep in. I get migraines and since they are older they can keep themselves occupied. Their childhood is so short and I'm enjoying every moment.

15. I am a childfree happy woman who will be living either alone or with my sister at 70. Maybe if I am healthy enough at 60, I'll adopt 1 or 2 kids, and even if I support the childfree lifestyle, I find her video sarcastic and offensive. Not only for parents who struggle in silent (of course, their choice and I don't understand what happiness can come from that struggle), but for childfree ppl who work everyday up to 12 hours, and even th they have no kids, they can't just do whatever the f they want. Her life doesn't represent life for many childfree women and she should have said in the video "a day in my life"

I did everything I wanted with my daughter, took her fishing, to the motorcycle shop were I was building a Harley, tattoo shop, vacation to Mexico each year which is cheaper than just the hotel cost at a crapy east coast beach. I taught her to play lacrosse at a very early age and we played catch alot. Took her to car shows. I never lacked doing anything. Although taking her to sports did take up time I enjoyed watching her grow and learn. I would not change anything. I get out of bed every day and go to work for her and my wife and would give my life for them gladly

22. This video just looks sad. As a mid 20 year old, this is just an example of a life I don't want. But that might be due to the fact that every time she calls herself " a childless woman," I hear "a woman who killed (aborted) 3 babies."

24. What's ironic is that Americans have become so selfish that many people WITH children still suffer alone in a nursing home. It has nothing to do with being single and not having children…it depends on how you raised your children, whether they have the financial wherewithall to take care of you and whether or not they feel obligated to. There are many women with children who die alone.
