Well folks, today is the day: After months of anticipation, increasingly cool trailers and awesome gameplay reveals, Gun Interactive The Texas Chainsaw Massacre the game is available for purchase. Why the hell are you reading stuff on the internet when you could be cutting your closest and dearest friends into bloody ribbons with Leatherface’s (digital) saw? What are We TO DO in writing things on the Internet when we could do the same thing?
This, FANGORIA readers, is Gun Interactive’s launch day trailer The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, an asymmetrical horror game that pits players against each other in a way that would make Tobe Hooper proud: each round features four “victims” trying to escape the clutches of three members of the Slaughter family ( including the cook, the hitchhiker and Leatherface himself). Environments from Hooper’s 1974 horror classic have been recreated in exquisite detail by the folks at Gun, from the Slaughter farmhouse to a certain gas station you wouldn’t want to eat at. As you can see above, it looks like an absolute blast to play.
Where can you play it? Pretty much everywhere ! Nowadays, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC and via Xbox Game Pass. That should cover… pretty much everyone, huh? (Sorry to anyone waiting for a Sega Genesis release; maybe they’ll port it later.)
Here at FANGORIA, the team is currently considering embarking on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre play together whenever everyone is available. What else would we do with our weekend?
Stay tuned for more on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre game as new updates are released.
