A touched Stacey assumes it’s a tribute to her late great-uncle Charlie Slater, asking: “Oh, after Uncle Charlie?”

But Ricky clarifies: “No, after Charli XCX.”

A surprised Stacey replies: “Oh”, while Ricky’s father, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), asks: “Who?”

His partner Denise Fox (Diane Parish) responds: “Oh, go ahead, Jack. He’s a singer, isn’t he?

Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) later makes the same mistake, asking Lily’s grandmother, Jean Slater (Gillian Wright), if the baby is named after her father.

Jean replies: ‘Sorry no, Charli without the ‘e’ like in Charli XYZ.’

Denise corrects her: ‘XCX, right?’ with Kat saying, “Am I supposed to follow something here?” »
