Bayindir spent his formative years in the youth systems of Bursaspor, Arabayatagispor, Bursa Yolspor and Ankaragucu, before making his senior debut for the latter club.

The goalkeeper helped Ankaragucu achieve back-to-back promotions in the 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons, reaching the Super Lig, and made his debut in the Turkish top flight in November 2018.

After representing Turkey at under-17 and under-19 levels, Altay was selected to play for his country’s under-20s at the Toulon Tournament in 2018.

Bayindir made 17 appearances in his first ever Super Lig campaign – keeping five clean sheets – and attracted interest from Turkish giants Fenerbahce. He then joined the Istanbul-based club in July 2019.
